I’m Courtney. I’d call myself a healthy food coach if it wasn’t SO incredibly dry and boring (and SO not me).
You can call me your go-to gal for all-around whole living badassery for busy moms that may still be carting around a little “extra” that they want to shave off, and change how they eat for themselves and their family for good.
What I’m not:
- a nutritionist (there are enough of those around)
- a believer in wacko extremes or magic pills
- someone whose idea of a healthy lifestyle is sucking on green smoothies all day
- a mystical shaman promising overnight results
I believe that lasting changes take time (baby steps), and we should be role models for the health of our kids. And, that easy, healthy meals from locally-grown ingredients can combat even the pickiest eaters while fueling our bodies for optimal function and wellness.
I also believe that living and fueling a healthy lifestyle needs to be practical and fit into your crazy-busy day if you’re going to be successful at creating new habits and sticking to them.
‘Cause mucking around with complicated, expensive and not-always-yummy recipes? Ain’t NOBODY got time for that.

Once upon a time, I was a Signal Officer in the US Army. When that ended, I found myself a stay-at home-mom. Suddenly, I was struggling weight and fitness issues (too much of one, not enough of the other), and juggling life with 4 small kids.
I discovered that by challenging the “Standard American Diet” and changing the way and what I ate, the weight seemed to melt away. Plus, I had TONS of energy and ZERO sugar cravings.
Figuring I couldn’t possibly be the only mom wrestling with real life and seeing amazing results from eating simple, whole foods, I refined my kitchen skills with formal French training at The International Culinary Center and Raw Food Fundamentals with Matthew Kenney Cuisine. To ensure what I was whipping up was nutritionally balanced as well as tasty, I studied nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Now? You could say I know a thing or two about health, nutrition, and making good food, fast.
The one thing I can guarantee? You sure as hell aren’t gonna be chomping on kale, sucking on celery or green smoothies all darn day (unless you want to).
And you’ll be back in your skinny jeans – or maybe even that LBD – in no time.
